Day 1: Hobatere Lodge - We leave Windhoek and head north via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Outjo to Hobatere Lodge. Here we spend the evening at the spot-lit waterhole gameviewing.
Day 2: Epupa Falls - From Hobatere we head further north through eastern Kaokoveld, Opuwo and Okangwati, reaching the Epupa Falls in the afternoon. Here you will have your first encounter with the ovaHimba people, before being lulled to sleep by the roar of the Epupa Falls.
Day 3: Epupa Falls - We spend the entire day in the area of the Epupa Falls. Using the expertise of a local guide we visit Himba villages and other sites; after lunch we have time to explore the area on foot, checking out local crafts and swimming in splash pools under the Waterfall.
Day 4: M'Bakondja Community Campsite - Today we start heading south backtracking to Opuwo, and heading through the windy Jouberts Mountains past Sesfontein, reaching the beautiful community campsite of M'Bakondja in the afternoon.
Day 5: Ugab Wilderness Camp - We continue south, to the ancient rock engravings at Twfelfontein, which we explore before heading into the central Damaraland hinterlands near the Doros Crater, an area of sweeping grandeur and beauty. We overnight at the Ugab Wilderness Camp, a good place to see desert adapted elephants.
Day 6: Return to Windhoek After an early morning visit to the White Lady rock painting at the Brandberg Mountain, we make our way back to Windhoek via Omaruru.
