Day 1: Etosha National Park - The adventure starts early in the morning at the Mousebird Backpackers Lodge in Tsumeb from where we take the tar road to Etosha National Park. On the short trip to Namutoni, one of the three restcamps in the park we are likely to see our first springboks, ostrich and even elephants. After we have checked in at the camp’s office we start a game drive into the surrounding area. Depending on the time of year and on where the animals are, we have lunch at either Namutoni or Halali, where we have the opportunity to cool down and relax around the swimming pools. We will then get back on the road for an afternoon game drive before we put up camp in one of the three restcamps. After a hot shower and a rich dinner prepared on the fire we spend the evening around the campfire or share a drink with the animals in the floodlit waterhole! Meals: L,D.
Day 2: Mousebird, Tsumeb - Today we arise early once again to be out in the park when the sun comes up! When we have finished the morning game drive we have time for a late breakfast and to pack up all the equipment before it becomes too hot! We will have lunch around the pools in the restcamps! The rest of the day is spent out in the park game driving until we have to leave before sunset. Approximately one hours drive takes us back to the Mousebird Backpackers Lodge for a last meal with the whole group. Meals: B, L, and D.
